
Pakistan has criticized Indian External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar's remarks about "bad neighbors" and terrorism, stating they deflect from India's regional instability. Pakistan's Foreign Office asserted that any unilateral violation of the Indus Waters Treaty would undermine stability and warned of measures to protect its rights. India had previously put the treaty in abeyance after a terror attack last year. The treaty, brokered by the World Bank, governs water distribution between the two nations.
