Enforcement Directorate (ED) Deputy Director P. Radhakrishnan, who led investigations into significant cases like diplomatic gold smuggling and the KIIFB case, has reportedly been compelled to take compulsory retirement. His tenure included arrests in the gold smuggling case, such as M. Sivasankar. Allegations of coercion were made against Radhakrishnan by two women police officers and through a voice recording of accused Swapna Suresh, who later claimed the recording was made under duress. Radhakrishnan was transferred before his retirement.
