The Supreme Court has made absolute the interim bail granted to Uttar Pradesh MLA Abbas Ansari in a case under the Gangsters Act. The bench, led by Chief Justice Surya Kant, noted no misuse of the interim bail and disposed of the petition. The court directed Ansari to inform police before leaving the state and adhere to previously imposed conditions, including not discussing ongoing cases publicly. Ansari, son of Mukhtar Ansari, faces multiple criminal cases and had previously been granted interim bail in March 2025.
