Union Home Minister Amit Shah has declared that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) will win the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections in 2026, campaigning against the ruling DMK. Shah accused the DMK government of dynastic politics, corruption, and failing on multiple fronts, including women's safety and Hindu rights. He asserted that the BJP-AIADMK alliance is strong and aims to end the DMK regime, while also expressing confidence in NDA victories in West Bengal. AIADMK leader Edappadi Palaniswami, however, stated his party would secure a majority on its own.
