Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has requested the Akal Takht Jathedar to allow a live telecast of his appearance on January 15, citing global Sikh community (Sangat) sentiments and a desire to present evidence regarding donations. The Akal Takht Secretariat has reportedly rejected this request, stating there is no precedent for live-streaming proceedings within the Secretariat due to its sanctity. Mann was summoned to clarify alleged "anti-Sikh" remarks concerning Sikh traditions, donation boxes, and the use of images of Sikh Gurus and Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale.
