A new nationwide healthcare scheme is set to be launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, offering cashless treatment of up to Rs 1.5 lakh per road accident victim. The initiative, developed by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, aims to provide immediate medical attention during the critical 'golden hour' at designated hospitals, even for victims of uninsured vehicles. Successful pilot programs have been conducted in several states and Union Territories, paving the way for a full rollout.
