The Enforcement Directorate (ED) has arrested Rajendrakumar Patel, a 2015-batch IAS officer and former Collector of Gujarat's Surendranagar district, in a bribery-linked money laundering case. The arrest follows the ED's earlier apprehension of deputy mamlatdar Chandrasingh Mori, from whose residence ₹67.5 lakh cash was recovered. Patel, along with others, is accused of corruption related to land-use permissions and facilitating approvals for bribes. He has been remanded to ED custody for five days for further investigation.
