Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced plans to develop an AI tool, in collaboration with IIT Bombay, to identify illegal Bangladeshi and Rohingya immigrants. The tool, currently at 60% accuracy, is expected to reach 100% within four months. Fadnavis stated that these immigrants often use forged documents and exploit government schemes, with many entering via West Bengal. He also assured that non-Marathi speakers are safe in Mumbai and dismissed threats from political opponents regarding the city's future.
