Union Fertilisers Minister J.P. Nadda announced the government's plan to address the misuse and promote balanced use of fertilisers, coordinating with various departments. Speaking at a Chintan Shivir, Nadda emphasized Prime Minister Modi's focus on farmers' welfare and highlighted the department's success in meeting farmers' fertiliser needs through record production and imports. The session aimed to generate ideas for India's development by 2047, with discussions covering new-age fertilisers, self-sufficiency, digital improvements, and nutrient-based subsidies.
