Telangana Legislative Council Chairman Gutha Sukhender Reddy has accepted the resignation of suspended BRS MLC K Kavitha, effective January 6. Kavitha, elected in 2021, had previously resigned in September but it was not accepted. During a council speech, she criticized her father's party, alleging corruption and calling its constitution a 'joke,' while also stating she was not party to unpopular decisions. Kavitha was suspended from BRS in September 2025 after accusing relatives of tarnishing her father's image over a project.
