Karnataka Congress will launch a 'Save MGNREGA' campaign on January 26, with padayatras in each Assembly constituency. Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar alleged the Union government has diluted the MGNREGA by replacing it with the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) Act, 2025. The campaign aims to raise awareness about the new legislation's impact on rural areas and will continue until MGNREGA is reinstated.
