A woman Block Development Officer (BDO) in Odisha's Kendrapara district, Tilottama Prusty, was allegedly attacked by a BJP leader, Lalit Kumar Behera, and his supporters in her office. The incident occurred when Behera allegedly attempted to physically assault Prusty after she did not expedite administrative tasks as per his instructions. The entire confrontation was captured on CCTV. While no FIR has been filed, an administrative inquiry is underway. BDO office staff are on strike, and BJD activists have staged a road blockade. Both BJD and Congress have condemned the alleged attack.
