The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) factions led by Sharad Pawar and his nephew Ajit Pawar have agreed to unite for the upcoming Pune and Pimpri Chinchwad municipal corporation polls. Ajit Pawar, Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, and Supriya Sule, Lok Sabha MP, held a joint press conference to release a civic poll manifesto. Both leaders stated the alliance prioritizes development and that they are setting aside past differences for the elections, while not ruling out a future merger.
