The Trinamool Congress (TMC) countered that Adhikari's security force lathi-charged people, accidentally hitting BJP workers. The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has requested a report from Adhikari's office regarding the incident, which his office is preparing to submit along with video evidence.
