A Delhi court has reserved its bail order for five individuals accused in the Turkman Gate violence incident, with the decision expected Wednesday. The violence occurred during an anti-encroachment drive near Faiz-e-Elahi mosque. Prosecutors allege the accused pelted stones and endangered police lives, citing instigating messages on their phones. Defense counsel argues the arrests were made to set a deterrent example, that the accused did not know each other, and that some were not visible in CCTV footage. A total of 18 people have been arrested in connection with the incident.
