Workers' groups and farmer unions are planning a phased resistance against the proposed Viksit Bharat -- Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) scheme, intended to replace MGNREGA. Gram Sabhas against the new scheme are scheduled for January 26 across villages. Representatives from over 10 states, including NREGA Sangharsh Morcha activists and academics, convened in Delhi to organize this grassroots protest movement.
