
The Madhya Pradesh High Court has directed Ujjain authorities not to permit any construction within 200 meters of the Kshipra River, except for government projects. This directive follows a petition alleging continued construction approvals despite earlier court orders and the Ujjain Master Plan 2025. The court has given the state government two weeks to submit a compliance report, warning of personal appearances by the Ujjain collector and municipal commissioner if not filed.
