The Muslim Welfare Association (MWA) in Maharashtra has announced it will support candidates in upcoming civic polls who prioritize education, reservation, and upliftment for marginalized communities, including Muslims. MWA's national president Saleem Sarang stated their backing is conditional on candidates presenting concrete plans for youth skill development, social empowerment, and fighting substance abuse. The organization plans to influence elections across all major regions of Maharashtra and is currently vetting candidates based on these criteria.
