Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council, Chalavadi Narayanaswamy, has demanded the arrest of Congress MLA Bharath Reddy, accusing him of hate speech and inciting violence during a banner dispute in Ballari. Narayanaswamy alleged that Reddy's provocative speech worsened the situation, leading to violence and the death of a Congress worker. He also questioned the record-keeping of private gunmen's firearms and stated that cases were filed against Janardhan Reddy and others despite Congress workers allegedly initiating the violence.
