Veteran journalist P.B. Das Gupta, 87, recently visited Arunachal Pradesh, where he previously worked for 24 years. Born in Bangladesh, Das Gupta's early life involved displacement and education in Assam and Nagaland. He had a long association with the RSS, becoming a pracharak, and was jailed during the 1975 Emergency. His journalism career began with Hindustan Samachar before joining PTI in 1977.
