Bangladesh has temporarily suspended most visa services at its diplomatic missions in New Delhi, Kolkata, and Agartala, citing security concerns amid strained bilateral ties. The restrictions, effective Thursday, exclude business and employment visas, while services in Mumbai and Chennai remain operational. This move follows earlier reciprocal visa restrictions imposed by both India and Bangladesh since the political turmoil in Dhaka in mid-2024. Bangladesh is also seeking exemption from a new US visa bond requirement.
