TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee promised to raise daily wages for tea garden workers to Rs 300 if his party wins a fourth term in West Bengal's 2026 Assembly elections. Addressing workers in Alipurduar, he stated a tripartite meeting would be held within 30 days of government formation to initiate the wage hike process. This assurance came after workers raised concerns about unfulfilled promises, inadequate housing, healthcare, and education.
