Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has accused the BJP of attempting to manipulate voter lists through the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) process, alleging it's a tactic to create fake votes and a push for an NRC-like exercise. Yadav warned that FIRs would be filed against anyone involved in irregularities, including officials, and has directed party booth-level agents to monitor the process. He also criticized the BJP government for corruption and land encroachment, predicting their defeat in the 2027 elections.
