The Manipur government has transferred the investigation of two recent IED blasts in Bishnupur district to the National Investigation Agency (NIA). The explosions, which occurred in an abandoned house and a nearby area, injured two civilians. Local residents protested, alleging security lapses and damaging a security bunker. The blasts have heightened tensions in the state, which has been under President's Rule since May 2023 ethnic clashes. A BJP legislator suggested foreign agencies might exploit the conflict.
