India has expressed concern over recurring attacks on minorities in Bangladesh, urging Dhaka to act swiftly and firmly against communal violence. New Delhi described as "troubling" Bangladesh's tendency to attribute such incidents to personal rivalries or political differences, stating this emboldens perpetrators and increases fear among minorities. The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council reported 51 incidents of communal violence in December, including killings, theft, and temple arson. India previously condemned the lynching of a Hindu man, demanding punishment for those involved.
