In West Bengal's Sandeshkhali, six police personnel were injured and a vehicle damaged when a mob attacked them for arresting TMC activist Musa Mollah. Mollah was accused of illegally occupying land for pisciculture, defying court orders and police summons. Reinforcements arrived to disperse the mob and secure Mollah. Local TMC leaders were detained for allegedly instigating the attack. This incident follows previous attacks on ED officials and protests against TMC leaders for land grabbing and assault in the same region.
