The Congress party is expanding its legal wing to the district level across India, establishing teams of at least five lawyers in each district. A state-wise rapid response force of senior lawyers will also be formed to swiftly handle politically sensitive cases, election-related matters, and civil liberties issues. Party leaders state this expansion is intended to ensure quicker legal intervention and stronger on-ground monitoring.
