Candidates and political parties must obtain clearance from the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) before releasing ads on electronic and digital platforms. This measure aims to ensure compliance with election norms and the Model Code of Conduct. Applications, including affidavits and ad copies, must be submitted five days in advance for scrutiny.
