Hired bus owners have decided to withdraw their planned strike, initially set for January 12, following successful discussions with APSRTC officials. The owners had raised concerns about issues arising from the Stree Shakti scheme, including bus overloading, increased maintenance costs, and insurance complications. APSRTC Vice-Chairman and Managing Director Ch. Dwaraka Tirumala Rao assured the owners that their problems would be resolved by January 20, ensuring no inconvenience to passengers during the Sankranti festival.
