Eight fisherfolk families on Hope Island near Kakinada district received fishing boat engines on January 3, 2026, under the Prime Minister Matsya Sampada Yojana. Government Whip Datla Subbaraju assured further distribution of engines to all Hope Island inhabitants. Additionally, an aqua park is proposed for Chollangi village to boost marine fish promotion along the Kakinada coast.
