The Council of Engineers has filed a complaint with Punjab's RERA, alleging illegal colonisation in areas delisted from the Punjab Land Preservation Act (PLPA). The association claims a builder is advertising farm lots under an eco-tourism scheme without RERA or CLU approval, in eco-fragile zones near Chandigarh. They argue this unregulated development violates Supreme Court guidelines for delisted lands, causes environmental damage, and poses financial risks to the public, particularly ex-servicemen and government employees.
