
Tripura's Director General of Police, Anurag, announced that the state recorded its lowest crime rate in 20 years in 2025. Overall crimes dropped by 8.3%, with significant decreases in property offenses, murder, assault, and rioting cases. Crimes against women also saw an 8.14% reduction. Additionally, road accidents decreased by 8.82%, and fatalities by 14.55%, with a focus on curbing accidents involving victims aged 18-45.
