Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann announced that the state government has provided over 61,000 government jobs to youth in four years, with 606 new appointments in the education department distributed recently. These include 385 special educator teachers for children with special needs. Mann emphasized that all appointments since April 2022 have been merit-based and transparent, contrasting this with previous governments that allegedly favored connections. The government highlighted the creation of a dedicated cadre for special educators to support approximately 48,000 students.
