They requested an additional platform to alleviate congestion and improve efficiency. The department also appealed for the restoration of train services, including extending the Pune-Mumbai Jayanti Janata Express, reinstating halts at Kodumudi, restarting the Coimbatore-Salem passenger train, and introducing a new Coimbatore-Chennai Intercity Express.
