The Delhi High Court has initiated a suo motu Public Interest Litigation (PIL) to address the plight of patients' relatives forced to stay outside hospitals in the cold due to a lack of night shelter facilities. Taking note of a news report highlighting these distressing conditions, the court directed the registration of the PIL and impleaded key ministries and the Delhi government as respondents. The court emphasized the urgent need for executive and judicial intervention to resolve the issue.
