Senior IPS officer Shiv Darshan Singh Jamwal has been appointed as the new Director General of Police (DGP) for Arunachal Pradesh. A 1995-batch officer from the AGMUT cadre, Jamwal was transferred from his previous role as DGP of Ladakh. He succeeds Anand Mohan, who was transferred to Delhi. Officials highlighted Jamwal's experience in sensitive regions as beneficial for Arunachal Pradesh's security management. The appointment is part of routine administrative transfers within the cadre.
