India is set to receive the fourth squadron of its S-400 air defence system by May 2026, enhancing its aerial defense capabilities. This system previously demonstrated effectiveness by intercepting Pakistani attacks during Operation Sindoor. The new deployment is anticipated to focus on the China and Pakistan borders. The acquisition, part of a $5 billion deal with Russia signed in 2018, faced delays due to the Ukraine conflict but is now proceeding as production stabilizes.
