India's Defence Ministry is set to discuss a proposal this week for acquiring 114 Rafale fighter jets from France in a deal estimated at Rs 3.25 lakh crore. The agreement aims to boost the Indian Air Force's capabilities, with a significant portion to be manufactured in India, incorporating over 30% indigenous content. The proposal also includes acquiring 12-18 jets in fly-away condition and integrating Indian weapons systems. This move occurs as the US and Russia offer their fifth-generation fighters.
