Ahead of the Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) elections, violent clashes erupted between BJP and Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena workers in Dombivli over allegations of cash distribution to voters. The incidents, occurring on consecutive nights, resulted in injuries to at least one person seriously and three others minorly. The BJP candidate's husband, Omkar Natekar, sustained serious injuries. Both parties accused each other of provoking violence and attempting to derail the election campaign, leading to increased security and police complaints.
