
Schools in Ranchi and Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, will remain closed for students from KG to Class 12 until January 6 due to severe cold wave conditions and a yellow alert issued by the India Meteorological Department. While academic activities are suspended, schools with pre-scheduled examinations have the discretion to conduct them. Classes for students in Grade 10 and 12 may also be held at the school's discretion. Government school teachers are expected to return on January 6 for non-academic work.
