
The first International Spice Routes Conference in Kochi concluded after three days of discussions on the historical maritime corridor that linked Kerala to global spice trade and cultural exchange. Organized by the State Tourism Department and Muziris Heritage Project, the event launched the International Spice Routes Heritage Network and 'Spice Journeys' initiative to promote heritage tourism. The conference brought together over 1,000 delegates from 22 countries to discuss sustaining heritage corridors and reimagining spice routes for tourism.
