Officials have confirmed that water samples from affected areas are unsafe for consumption, with contamination likely due to leaks in the pipeline network and ongoing drainage repair work. Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah are reviewing the situation, and health authorities are conducting door-to-door surveys, advising residents to drink boiled water and distribute chlorine tablets.
