
The Indian Farmers Movement (Infam), an organization guided by the Catholic Church, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a rally and public meeting in Kattappana, Idukki. Opposition leader V.D. Satheesan inaugurated the event, highlighting farmers' concerns over wild animal attacks. The celebration, attended by thousands of farmers from multiple states, also featured Bishop Mar Jose Pulickal. Infam, founded in 2000 to protect farmers' interests, plans further events, including honoring 1,500 farmers aged 75.
