Shishu Sarothi, a Guwahati-based rehabilitation center, has launched a unique six-month hospitality training certificate course for individuals with various disabilities, excluding the visually impaired due to lack of Braille resources. The program, in collaboration with Gateway Institute of Hotel Management and supported by LIC Housing Finance Limited, aims to train up to 40 candidates aged 18-40 in front office, housekeeping, and food and beverage services. Certified by Assam Skill University, the course includes an internship and full fee coverage, with a monthly stipend for accommodation.
