Non-governmental organizations in Delhi are intensifying rescue and relief efforts as severe cold grips the capital. Volunteers are distributing winter essentials like blankets and sleeping bags, and coordinating with government vans to bring vulnerable individuals, particularly the homeless and elderly, to safety. Some NGOs are also providing medical support, including physiotherapy and medicines, to elderly residents suffering from cold-aggravated health issues. Over 2,000 homeless individuals have reportedly been rescued this winter by one organization.
