
Leading Indian fertility and embryology experts have advised against the routine clinical use of non-invasive preimplantation genetic testing (niPGT) for embryos. A joint evaluation by ISAR, IFS, and ACE, led by Dr. Deepak Modi, concluded that niPGT is not yet ready for clinical application due to high rates of misdiagnosis. The experts recommend it should not be used to decide embryo transfers, contrasting it with more established, albeit invasive, biopsy-based genetic testing methods.
