
Two individuals, Champa Kui and Virendra Korwa, were fatally trampled by elephants in separate incidents in Jharkhand on Sunday. Kui was attacked by a lone elephant in West Singhbhum district, while Korwa was crushed by a herd in Latehar district. Forest officials provided interim relief to the families and assured compensation. Villagers in both areas have expressed concerns and demanded solutions to the ongoing elephant menace.
