The Federation of All India Medical Association (FAIMA) has expanded its free, confidential, 24/7 mental health helpline for doctors to include de-addiction support. Previously assisting over 300 doctors with stress and burnout, the initiative now addresses addiction challenges faced by medical professionals. Approximately 50 volunteer doctors and psychiatrists will offer counseling, aiming to provide stigma-free support. This expansion follows recognition of silent struggles with addiction among medicos, complementing existing mental health services.
