Erumely is preparing for the Petta Thullal ritual, a key event in the final phase of the Sabarimala pilgrimage season. The Ambalappuzha and Alangad groups will perform the ritual on Sunday. The preceding Chandanakkudam procession, organized by the Erumely Mahallu Muslim Jamaat, commenced Saturday evening from the Nainar Mosque, celebrating the historical bond between Lord Ayyappa and Vavar. Ministers V. Abdurahiman and V.N. Vasavan attended the Chandanakkudam event.
