A tea shop in Coimbatore's Nadhagoundenpudur village is accused of caste-based discrimination, allegedly barring Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe individuals from entering and serving them in disposable cups while others receive steel or glass tumblers. The practice, reportedly ongoing for two years, was brought to light by a video shared on social media. The Dravidar Viduthalai Kazhagam (DVK) claims to have documented similar discriminatory practices, including the two-tumbler system, in 92 villages across Coimbatore district.
